He got up and gave orders to the wind, and he said to the lake, “Silence! Be still!” The wind settled down and there was a great calm.- Mark 4:39 CEB

The Storm:
OK, Today is the day!.
I practiced my moves.
I’m ready to start.
Let’s see… I see a boat.
Great hears my chance.
Let’s start with a dash of thunder and lightning.
Now let’s bring on the rain.
Ooh, they are getting scared now.
Now I’m going to blow some wind.
Ha! they are sinking.
Wait a minute. One of them is going to the hull.
No way He’s here on the boat? Oh boy, He’s going to send me parking.
Silence! Be Still!

The boat:
I was commissioned to be the vessel to take some men across the lake.
It was a normal day.
The water was calm and the sun was shining brightly.
One of the men went to my hull and went to sleep.
The others were on the deck with the crew.
We set sail and Boom!
The wind was howling.
The lightning was flashing.
Waves were knocking me from side to side.
Water was weighing me down.
I thought I was doing to sink.
Then suddenly one of the men woke up the one who was sleeping in my hull.
He got up and climbed the stairs.
He said, “Silence! Be Still!”
Suddenly everything stopped and the sea was calm.
Who is this man? This man has to be Son of God.
The Lost Soul:
It seems like nothing is going right. I’m carrying the burden of my past sins.
I have things coming at me from every side.
One side I have self-doubt. On another side I have fear. On the I have guilt.
It seems like I’m going to drown in my own personal storm.
when I was down to my last bit of hope I prayed.
Jesus was there to comfort me.
He forgave me of my past sins.
The burdens were lifted. My horizons were clear.
He told my storm, “Be Silent Be Still.”
I’m now free to start over a new because I met a man who can silence the storm.
