“A competent wife, how does one find her? Her value is far above pearls.”
Proverbs 31:10 CEB
It’s hard to find the right words to honor your mom.
Especially when she’s everybody’s favorite friend and auntie. She can be sassy at times but she means well. She commands respect and will let you know on heartbeat if you cross her the wrong way.
She has a loving heart and values family. She doesn’t like to see her nieces and nephews not getting along. If you don’t call her she will track you down and make you talk. She loves her sisters and brothers dearly. She loves to cook and we all fight over Chewies during the holidays.
She’s my number one fan and critic. She just wanted to be sure I wasn’t half-stepping. (She still does.) She always make sure I had what I needed. She would never let me settle for being just enough. She was there at everything specialist visit, surgery, and post-op to make sure her only son was ok. She made sure I knew who God was and wouldn’t rest until I learned the Lord’s Prayer and Psalms 23. She’s only woman I know that loves fishing but hates to eat them.
God really blessed us with a precious jewel. None can compare. Her faith has gotten here through some tough times. She knows where her help comes from. She works tirelessly to help those in need.
She’s a talented and bright woman. She can sew, cook, maintain a home, and bake. She can make you laugh and give you a look that will make you stop what you’re wrong. She’s my everything.
Some call her friend…
Some call her auntie…
Some call her sister….
But I call her mom. I love you mom and I hope I make you proud. I’m thankful every day that God blesses me to be your son.
