19 After taking the bread and giving thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”20 In the same way, he took the cup after the meal and said, “This cup is the new covenant by my blood, which is poured out for you.- Luke 22:19-20 CEB
As I kneel before you to take the bread and wine, I give thanks.
Thank you for giving up your life for mine.
Thank you for during the cross and take on my sin.
Thank you for loving me when I didn’t feel loved.
Thank you for covering me when the storms of life raged.
As I kneel to take this bread and wine, I feel renewed.
Renewed to face the trials of life.
Renewed to serve your people.
Renewed to give hope to those who don’t have any.
As I take this bread and wine, I make a promise.
A Promise to put you first.
A promise to love my fellow man as I love you.
A promise to be better today than I was yesterday.
Oh Lamb of God Thank you for your gift of redemption.
Thank you for being our hope in this dark world.
May light continue to shine in the darkness until the end of days.
