The wind has died down.
The rain has become a mist.
You can still smell the moisture in the air.
The ground is still saturated.
Limbs are on the ground.
The rivers and creeks have crest.
Now is time to assess the damage.
Now is the time to plan for what is next.
Now you can build and grow again.
You look around and everyone that is importantly you are still here.
You sit at the table and you smile.
You shed a few tears of relief.
You look up and say “Thank you God.”
You made it to the other side.
You’ve endured the worst of it.
Then you look through the window,
The sun has broken trough.
The storm is over.
