9 Years

Nine years have flown by.

Nine birthdays.

Nine rotations around a star.

Nine sets of holidays.

3,285 days with your smile.

But it still feels like yesterday.

Everything seemed to stop.

Nothing is the same.

I still can’t believe you are gone.

I miss your laughter.

I miss our friendship.

I just miss you.

I take with me the memories of the past.

I work hard to make you proud.

I will keep the promise that I made to be there for your Queen.

I strive to live up to the example you’ve set for me.

God has given me strength to endure the ups and downs since you’ve been gone.

Continue to rest on the arms of God and I will see you again on the other side.
