We are called out of our ordinary lives to do something extraordinary.
We are called to go the extra mile.
We are asked to reach out to those who are not usually seen.
The widow, the orphan, the immigrant, the poor, and the disabled.
In more ways than none they are the same as you and I.
They desire to be seen, heard, and respected.
That’s why we are here to be that helping hand, that welcoming heart, and that open door.
We may be the only image of God they see.
So we must seek to do good for them and show them the love they are missing.
We have to go that extra mile and meet them where they are.
We don’t do it because it is easy.
We do it because it is necessary.
