The First Word

Even in agony, He still had compassion for us.

He was arrested, tried, beaten, whipped, and forced to carry a cross in a weakened state.

He had nails in His hands and feet

He was exhausted.

He was was emotionally spent.

They were mocking Him.

He was forcing himself to hold up the weight of His entire body do he can breath.

The First words He manage to speak were of forgiveness.

He ignored His humanity just enough to pray on our behalf.

Despite of all that He endured and was feeling, He was thinking of His children.

Now that is truly some kind of love.

It was a powerful love that kept Him on that cross.

It’s a love we don’t deserve.
