Mom and Dad, can I say something?
Cool, ugh, I know we don’t see eye to eye on some things.
Despite of all our differences, our love and bond is real.
Those life lessons you thought I missed, I didn’t.
Those sayings you thought that went in one ear and out the other, they stuck with me.
Those hard lessons you taught even when you didn’t even know you were teaching, got me through some tough days.
Those secret prayers that you uttered at night when I was asleep, were answered.
Mom and Pop, I just wanted to say thanks for planting the seed and for nurturing the soil so that I can grow.
Thanks for reflecting God’s love on me and for providing the water, so that I can break through the ground.
I don’t know if you will see all the fruits bear from my tree, but I will do my best to grow into being the son you hoped that I would be.
Thanks for planting the seed.

Words of true wisdom and pure love and Joy.
